Acer Ferrari One Photos and Specifications

Acer Ferrari One is Acer’s newest netbook inspired by Ferrari. The netbook uses bright red cover with the Scudetto Ferrari (Ferrari Emblem) on it. The netbook is designed and created to combine two brands, Acer and Ferrari.




Acer Ferrari One is preinstalled with Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate, and powered by AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 dual-core processor, and supported by 12 KB L2 cache, DDR2 800 MHz, and AMD HyperTransport™ 3.0 technology, and 250GB/5,400 rpm hard drive. For the graphics,Acer Ferrari One relies on ATiRadeon™HD 3200. The RAM of this netbook is expandable up to 4GB. By examining the specifications, we can predict that this netbook is not as fast as it looks, although the Ferrari brand is associated with speed.

For the display, Acer Ferrari One uses 11.6” 16:9 Hi-definition screen, and equipped with Acer CrystalEye™ video camera. The Dolby Home Theater v3 on this netbook provides relatively adequate quality of sound, and the six-cell battery ensures that the netbook can last for around 5 hours before it needs to be recharged.

Acer Ferrari One is packed with an exclusive Ferrari desktop with calendars and themes, and Ferrari-engraved touchpad. The palm rest on this netbook is decorated with carbon effect to bring the racing spirit even more alive. This netbook is even designed to look aerodynamic.

While being tested for performance by experts, Acer Ferrari One became too hot. The heat is quite disturbing, even with a passive notebook cooler put on. Overall, this netbook is great on the aesthetic part, but lack of performance. This netbook is also quite expensive, considering the relatively low specifications.

Acer Liquid e

Acer has started to launch more Android phones. The company just launched Liquid e, just a few months after the previous Liquid was launched. The Liquid e is just like the previous Liquid, but with several improvements. Acer claims that Liquid e is the best smartphone for multimedia, web browsing, and social media.

The main improvement of Liquid e compared to the previous Liquid is that the onboard operating system of Liquid e is using Android 2.1 (also known as the Eclair), while the previous Liquid uses Android 1.6. Because it uses the latest version of Android, the web browser is also updated with more features. However, the Snapdragon processor in this phone is still underclocked to 768MHz, just like the previous Liquid. Smartphone experts don't know exactly why Acer decide to still underclock the CPU inLiquid E to only 768MHz, but some opinions suggest that it is probably a way to get longer battery life.

The most visible difference between Acer Liquid e and the previous Acer Liquid would be the layout of the keyboard. When we look at the home screen, we can see that the Liquid e is using five home screens by default. This allows the users to install applications easily. The phone also provide Quick Contact feature that allows the users to switch between address book and social network application easily. AcerLiquid E uses high definition 3.5" WVGA capacitive touch screen. But this phone is not only offering high definition graphics, it is also offering high quality video playback, smooth video and music streaming, gaming, and web surfing.

Install Windows XP on Acer Aspire 4710 - without Floppy Disk Drive

Acer Aspire 4710 was designed for Windows Vista, A have no problem when installing Windows Vista Home Premium on this gemstone laptop, but when i tried to install Windows XP on it, this laptop cannot detect the harddrive ! After googling I found tutorial from Acer philippines (Download here) and download the SATA driver here (link updated) but in this tutorial we need usb floppy drive, its hard to find usb floppy drive for me. - I want to install Windows XP without Floppy drive...


After little research in my room ...

You can install windows XP on Acer Aspire 4710 without USB floppy drive, just include the SATA driver to your Windows XP CD using nLite
